When does the “Erläb dis Züri” special offer take place?

The special offer takes place on the weekends of January 4 – 5 and 11 – 12, 2025.

Which hotels are participating?

 These 66 Zurich hotels are participating in the special thank-you offer, “Erläb dis Züri”, and offering one night’s accommodation at highly attractive rates.

Who is eligible for the special offer?

The offer is open to anyone residing in municipalities with a zip code between 8000 and 8999.

Why is access to the booking platform for 4- and 5-star hotels in the CHF 190 price category being given by means of a prize draw?

The highest price category is the most popular one and is always booked out very quickly. We are now granting exclusive access to the Premium category by means of a draw in order to give everyone who is interested a fair chance of securing a room.

How does the prize draw for access to the booking platform work?  

You can register to take part in the prize draw from December 2–4, 2024 via zuerich.com/diszueri. After the draw, the winners will be contacted by e-mail on December 6.

My registration was selected in the draw and I have received an e-mail with a personal link and a personal code. What should I do now?

On December 6, 2024, you will be able to access the exclusive booking platform via the link and book a room in the CHF 190 price category.

Important! As before: first come, first served! The quicker you are, the more chance you have of securing a room.

If I have received a code, am I guaranteed a room in my chosen hotel?

No, unfortunately it is not possible to take account of individual wishes.

If I have received a code, is the hotel room free of charge?  

No, the hotel room costs CHF 190.

Can I pass on my code and link to somebody else?  

The code is personal, non-transferable, and can only be used once. Wrongful use and infringements will result in the code resp. booking being canceled.

I registered but haven’t received an e-mail. What do I do now?  

If you haven’t received an e-mail, you were not included in the prize draw.

Conditions of Participation – Prize Draw for Access to Booking Platform

Does the rate apply to one or two persons?

The given rate is per double room and is the same for dual and single occupancy.

What is included in the price?

The price includes one night’s accommodation in a double room with breakfast, but excludes any additional hotel services (e.g. spa). Also not included in the price is the City Tax of CHF 3.50 per person, which will be charged additionally.

I'm a Zurich resident/Swiss national and not a tourist. Why do I have to pay the City Tax?

The City Tax is an accommodation tax for the destination Zurich and according to the statutes of the Zurich Hotel Association is charged per person per night, regardless of their place of residence, tax obligation, reason for travel, or any other such criteria. Currently this tax amounts to CHF 3.50 including VAT.

How and when do I pay for my booking?

Credit card details are required as a guarantee for the booking. The amount payable for the double room plus the City Tax will be debited from your account when you are at the hotel. 

How can I make a reservation?

Reservations can be made online via zuerich.com/diszueri. Only one booking is permitted per person.

What does the 10 minutes in the shopping cart mean?

The 10-minute time period in the shopping cart solely means that the payment must be completed within 10 minutes and NOT that the room is reserved for you during that time. Therefore we recommend that you complete your booking quickly.

Until when can I book the “Erläb dis Züri” special offer?

The double rooms can be booked until 12 noon on December 13, 2024, subject to availability.

Can I book the double room on a different date?

No, this special offer is limited. The conditions apply exclusively to the two weekends of January 4. – 5. and January 11. – 12., 2025.

Can I make reservations at several hotels?

No, only one booking is permitted per person. The bookings are personal and non-transferable.

Can I also book a double room as a single person or for children?

The offer is valid for one to two persons (e.g. two adults or one adult and one child). It is not possible for two children to share a room on their own. There is no price reduction for children.

Why can’t I book the desired hotel?

The number of double rooms per hotel is limited. If a hotel is fully booked, it no longer appears on the booking screen. These 66 Zurich hotels are participating in the “Erläb dis Züri” special offer.

From what time can I check into the hotel? / By when at the latest do I have to check out?

Can I cancel, rebook or transfer my booking to another person?

Cancellation or rebooking is not possible with this special offer. In the event of a cancellation, the guest will be required to pay the room rate in full.

Why was my booking rejected by Zürich Tourism?

Participation in the "Erläb dis Züri" campaign is only permitted for residents of the postcode municipalities 8000 – 8999. Bookings from other postcode municipalities will not be considered.

Where can I register for the city walking tour?

Shortly before arrival, “Erläb dis Züri” guests will receive an e-mail with a link enabling them to register for the free and voluntary guided tour.

Where and when does the city tour start and how long does it last?

The guided walking tour of the city takes place on Saturday, January 4 and Saturday, January 11, 2025 respectively and departs at 1pm from in front of the National Museum at Museumstrasse 2, 8001 Zürich. The tour lasts approx. 1.5 hours.
