New Hotels and Venues to Open in Zurich by 2027

Switzerland’s first Zleep hotel, Zleep Hotel Zurich Kloten, opened in the third quarter of 2024. The 90-room economy hotel is part of a newly created neighborhood. The Zleep brand is committed to fighting food and energy waste.

The colorful The Home Hotel is located in the building of what was previously the Four Points by Sheraton Sihlcity Zurich. The interior of the boutique hotel is inspired by the spirit of the Dada movement and combines eccentric works of art with stylish design. Besides guest rooms and business apartments, it also features a French restaurant.

The renovated and reimagined Rapperswil Castle reopened in November 2024, offering a magical setting for stunning events. Perched high above the rose-filled town of Rapperswil, this impressive medieval castle boasts breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Zurich.

Starting mid-May, the Museum Haus Konstruktiv will have a new home at the Löwenbräu art complex in the vibrant Zürich-West district. This move places Switzerland's leading institution for constructive-concrete and conceptual art right alongside other renowned Zurich art galleries and museums.

The tradition-steeped Hotel Florhof in Zurich's old town will reopen in 2025 as "Villa Florhof". The landmarked building will house a boutique hotel of the luxury brand Lalique. Plans include 14 rooms, 1 large suite, a premium restaurant, terrace, bar, lounge and fumoir. The historic vaulted wine cellar will continue to form the foundation of the house.

The opening of Switzerland's first boutique hotel of the French chain Mama Shelter is planned for summer 2025 in the building of the former Swissôtel in Zurich Oerlikon. The concept includes around 178 hotel rooms, various meeting rooms and a restaurant, and is said to be highly instagrammable.

The first Moxy Hotel in the city of Zurich is expected to open near Letzigrund in the fourth quarter of 2025. The building of the former H+ Hotel will be extensively renovated and modernized by then. Guests can look forward to 162 rooms in the signature playful Moxy style. The ground floor will feature a lobby area with a modern and vibrant atmosphere.

The multi-event venue at the former Maggi site in Kemptthal already offers 19 spectacular locations for groups ranging from 5 to 5,000 participants. In spring 2026, the venue will expand to include a Motorworld Inn restaurant in the historic coal bunker, offering around 150 seats. Additionally, a second event hall with a capacity of 1,000 people is being built in the adjacent Kesselhaus.

The Revier Hotel Neuhausen am Rheinfall, featuring 145 rooms and a comprehensive seminar infrastructure, is due to open on the SIG industrial site in Neuhausen in 2027. Located directly on the edge of the site, the hotel offers a spectacular view of the Rhine Falls.
