World Interaction Design Day 2019 in Zurich
Once a year Interaction designers meet on all continents of the world to exchange ideas as a united global community at locally organized events. The World Interaction Design Day (IxDD) 2019 was held under the motto "Trust and Responsibility".
The Zurich edition of the IxDD took place this year in the heart of the city, in one of the most astonishing buildings made of wood and glass: the Tamedia Media House. The speakers highlighted the topics of trust and responsibility in design from different angles: How do you win the trust of customers with simple and transparent design? Can a design team play a central role in the shaping of corporate processes? How easy is it to mislead users with visualizations and data? What role do ethics play and how does humane design work?
After an interactive Lego session in which the participants learned more about the connection between play and design, guests had ample opportunity to exchange ideas and make new contacts at the closing aperitif.
According to the organizers, the event in Zurich attracts many participants, not least thanks to its attractive congress destination. "We are delighted about the active, local community and always have visitors from neighbouring countries and the whole of Switzerland."
