Winterthurer Musikfestwochen

For many, the Winterthurer Musikfestwochen is one of the most charming and popular music events in Canton Zurich. Held for the first time in 1976, today it is nothing short of legendary.
For almost two weeks, local and international acts will perform on various stages every evening on Steinberggasse, Kirchplatz and Viehmarkt - in the midst of historic Old Town buildings and free of charge for the public. Only on the last weekend are three concert evenings held for which a fee is charged.
The music festival weeks are so popular with music lovers because surprising newcomer bands can always be discovered here. In addition, the entire population of Winterthur seems to be involved in the festival in some way. This is evident from the the fact that everyone puts their heart and soul into everything they do. In addition, there are numerous attractively decorated bars and food stands.
