Excursions and Day Trips from Zurich
Zurich’s location and the country’s excellent train network make the biggest city in Switzerland the perfect base for day trips and excursions around Lake Zurich and the region. Postcard villages and towns such as Rapperswil or the spa town Baden are less than an hour away. Even Einsiedeln with its impressive Abbey and the famous Technorama in Winterthur are just a stone's throw away.
If Switzerland's sumptuous nature is the destination of choice, the mightiest falls in Central Europe, the Rhine Falls, are also close by. Or why not hop on a boat and take a cruise on Lake Zurich?
