“Zurich’s Oasis, Schanzengraben” City Tour

Visitors can discover many little secrets about the city along the canal leading from the Main Station to Lake Zurich.

The Schanzengraben canal connects Zurich Main Station with Lake Zurich. In summer, locals like to use the lower-lying promenade to enjoy their lunch next to the splashing water or as a shortcut from one place to another.

During a leisurely walk along the canal, the tour guides show participants idyllic spots and relate interesting historical facts and entertaining anecdotes. The route leads past cultural institutions such as the Riithalle or the Haus Konstruktiv, as well as the highly popular Schanzengraben men-only open-air bathing facility, which in the evening is transformed into the open-air Rimini bar. It also includes a short detour to the beautiful Old Botanical Garden. At the end of the walk, guests can enjoy a magnificent view across Lake Zurich to the Alps in the distance.

This city tour is suitable for all those who would like to pep up a relaxing walk through the heart of Zurich with some fascinating facts.
