Dan Rubinstein's Stained Glass Windows – Illuminated Scenes from the Old Testament
Stained glass windows by Dan Rubinstein decorate the St. Verena church in Stäfa.
Stained glass windows by artist Dan Rubinstein have been decorating the Roman Catholic St. Verena church in Stäfa since 2003. The work is financed by donations and is illuminated to perfection each day when the sun brings the colors to life. The images depict stories from the Old Testament.
The artist Dan Rubinstein was born in Netanya (Israel) in 1940 and came to Zurich at the age of 24. He spent a long time in hospital for a serious illness. The situation inspired his creativity and he began to paint. When a Zurich-based gallery owner acquired a liking for his pictures, Rubinstein decided to take up art as a career. The artist still lives in Zurich today.
