Bar/Café Cabaret Voltaire
An absolute must for culture fans: it is here that Hugo Ball and Emmy Hennings started the Dada movement.
The Bar/Café Cabaret Voltaire is the beating heart of the Dada birthplace of the same name: the Cabaret Voltaire.
During the day, the relaxed bar in the Niederdorf quarter is a popular meeting place for locals, students, and Dada enthusiasts from all over the world. Bookworms can browse through a selection of publications about Dada and the Cabaret Voltaire in the Dada library. In addition, exhibitions are held in the vaulted cellar in the afternoon.
In the evenings and on weekends, the bar and café transform the Cabaret Voltaire into a vibrant, bustling place of encounter. Besides beer, wine, and absinthe, the bar serves schnapps and other alcoholic beverages, sweetened drinks, an assortment of teas, coffee, and snacks.
