Mars Bar

It actually is a little bit like being on another planet in the Mars Bar – for such relaxed, rocked-out and unpretentious bars are rare in Zurich. With its diverse leather sofas, band posters on the brightly colored walls, and simple wooden tables and chairs, it looks rather like a shared apartment. And it feels just as comfortable, too: here, everyone is down-to-earth, the chichi quota is practically zero, and the vast majority of guests drink beer. The music is as alternative as the vibe and just quiet enough to be able to talk – unless, of course, one of the regular concerts is in progress or a national or international football match is being broadcast on one of the TVs.
