History Museum Baden
The history of Baden is brought to life at the Landvogteischloss (governor’s castle).
Long before Baden became an urban settlement, there was already a fortress on the right-hand banks of the River Limmat – the site of the current History Museum. A fitting location for exploring the city’s lively history.
A modern extension was then added to the former castle to create a space for exhibitions relating to Baden’s development from the Romans to the present day, focusing on the influence of the bathhouses and industry. Archaeological finds offer insight into the life and work of the region’s former inhabitants.
