Museum Burg Zug – Experience History in an Interactive Way
Zug Castle is the main landmark of the town of Zug. In the Middle Ages, it served as the seat of the ruling classes. It therefore comes of no surprise that the castle, which underwent extensive renovation work from 1979 to 1982, is home to numerous suits of armor and halberds.
But that’s not all: nowadays, the castle houses a fascinating museum on the cultural history of the municipality and canton of Zug. On each floor of the castle, atmospheric stagings and interactive stations provide a vast array of exciting and interesting information about the lives of the people that lived here. A 3D model shows the development of the town up to 1730 – and how Zug has developed since then can be discovered with the aid of a touchscreen.
Various guided tours and workshops guarantee many fascinating hours in the Museum Burg Zug. For the youngest guests, there is also a special program to celebrate birthday parties with engaging activities.
