Knie’s Children’s Zoo

Knie’s Children’s Zoo regards it as its task to give all guests the opportunity to learn more about the zoo’s approximately 380 animals, as well as about biodiversity. As a result, it is a popular place of encounter for people and animals.  Ton-heavy Asian elephants, inquisitive African miniature goats, and agile squirrel monkeys all guarantee a wealth of fascinating experiences.

A ride on a pony or, for those with a head for heights, a two-humped camel, enables close-up contact to the animal. The very courageous even venture onto an elephant's back. A nostalgic trip on a vintage horse-drawn tram, the pirate ship and the adventure playground also offer plenty of fun. 

The elephant park, “Himmapan”, is one of the highlights at Knie's Children's Zoo. It features plenty of space for the animals and a bridge as an ideal viewing-point to observe the elephants below.
