Nature Reserve and Wildlife Park Goldau

Sika deer, mouflon and Syrian brown bear: at Goldau Zoo, young explorers can observe their favorite animals close up.

Goldau Nature Park and Zoo, which was founded in 1925, is now home to around 100 indigenous and European animal species. The zoo is situated between Lake Zug and Lake Lauerz on the site where in 1806 a natural disaster occurred, the “Goldau landslide”.

In a huge, enclosed open-air area, visitors come into direct contact with sika deer and mouflons and can even feed them. Park Rangers and zoo experts offer guided tours and workshops, and rare species, such as the Syrian brown bear and the bearded vulture, are successfully bred here.

The Grüne Gans restaurant and other gastronomic offers ensure that visitors have plenty to eat and drink.
