Kweer Bar

The Kweer is more than just a bar – it is a place full of history and with a strong feeling of community. Once known as “Barfüsser”, or “Fuess” for short, from the mid-1950s the bar was a meeting place for Zurich's queer scene and still embodies this eventful heritage today.

Enjoying a central location directly next to Hirschplatz in the Niederdorf quarter, with its relaxed atmosphere, bookshelf, cozy sofa corners, and comfortable outdoor seating, the bar invites guests to linger, while regular events take place on the small stage. Pub quizzes, karaoke, and sing-along parties offer a program that celebrates diversity and invites people to join in.

During the day, the bar delights with exquisite coffee specialties from the local ViCAFE roastery and homemade cakes. In the evening, it offers cocktails, local craft beers, regional wines, and a selection of snacks.
