Just a few minutes from the city of Zurich, guests are transported into a world of Swiss tradition and culinary indulgence. The out-of-the-ordinary, cozy Chäsalp restaurant is housed in what used to be a cowshed on the Alter Tobelhof farm (now a protected building) – which is situated at an impressive 61,702cm (24,292 inches) above sea level, as the managers say with a twinkle in their eye.
Amidst this unique Alpine hut atmosphere, cheese lovers are in culinary heaven. The menu features no fewer than 15 different cheese fondue variations, and those who have difficulty deciding can opt for the “Fondue Fetä” (Fondue Feast), comprising up to eight different types of fondue. Guests who prefer raclette can prepare their own at the table.
