EnSoie – Fashion Label with a Family Tradition

EnSoie belongs to Zurich just as much as the Fraumünster or the lake. The label stands for printed silk fabrics, clothing, jewelry, and ceramics with a certain “je ne sais quoi”. Previously known as Abraham & Brauchbar, the tradition-steeped silk store was taken over by Monique Meier in 1974.

Since 2010, the business has been run by Eleonore, Sophie and Anna Meier, daughters of the founder and the well-known Swiss musician, Dieter Meier. The Meier sisters have succeeded in mixing tradition and innovation. The store on Strehlgasse is popular not only among hipsters from Zurich’s creative establishment; Hollywood star, Kirsten Dunst, is also a fan.
