The Kanzleiareal is a popular meeting place for many local residents; the large gravel area is the perfect place to enjoy a game of boule, make music, or relax over an after-work drink.

But that’s not all. In addition, carefully curated cinematic gems have been shown in the former school building on this site since 1984. They comprise premieres of major mainstream films, as well as works by up-and-coming directors or series of films with a common theme. The bar in the same building is open daily – and not only to visitors who are there to see a movie.

Incidentally, the Xenix open-air movie evenings are particularly popular in summer, while on Wednesday and Sunday afternoons, children’s film classics are screened, during which the young guests receive a free drink of fruit cordial.
