Bike Tour from Limmattal Valley to Schwyz
This cycling tour begins in the town of Dietikon, to the west of Zurich. From here, the quiet and peaceful route leads along the Reppisch river, which has its source in the Limmat. The Reppisch winds its way to the Türlersee, which owes its existence to a prehistoric natural disaster and nowadays is an idyllic natural paradise. Having passed the lake, the trail continues down into the Zug region and along the shores of Lake Zug.
Awaiting bikers here is stunning scenery complete with Alpine backdrop, as well as Goldau Animal Park. The Rigi and Mythen mountains encircle the Lauerzersee. From here, you continue resolutely on into the historical heart of Switzerland, to the Old Town of Schwyz, home to the Swiss Federal Charter.
